About Reframing Spaces

Our Story

We are two social workers who are passionate about the safety of women, children  and the community against family and domestic violence. In our respective careers, we have supported women, children and men facing the impacts of domestic violence.

We noticed a gap in the system wherein women felt compelled to alter their behavior to ensure the safety of themselves and their families. As we observed this concerning trend, it became evident that our collective experience from working with men who use violence could shed light on the root causes perpetuating this cycle of fear and alteration of behaviour among women.

We come from a gender transformative based approach where we value on the ground experience, evidence base practice and holistic approaches.
