Violence prevention training, support and supervision for frontline workers facing the impacts of domestic violence
Reframing Spaces respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and work. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present, and recognise their deep connection to land, sea and community. We extend that to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and remain committed to listening to their voices in the spirit of reconciliation.
Welcome to Reframing spaces.
Our names are Katie Yilmaz & Raquel Ferguson. We are two AASW (Australian Association of Social Worker) Social Workers who have over 10 years of experience working with men who use violence, women, children and communities.
We are experienced in providing therapeutic behaviour change programs to men in a forensic setting.
"It is our mission that as a community we transfer responsibility from women, to men who perpetrate domestic and family violence. Men and the community must actively address and take ownership of eliminating domestic and family violence"
We have a number of training and skill based packages available to support frontline workers to enhance their skills in the domestic and family violence space.
Our training focuses on evidence-based and practical skills for practitioners focusing on engaging men in domestic and family violence prevention and response.
Our Domestic and Family Violence information sessions provide in-depth and current information for services that want to be aware and proactive in the response to domestic and family violence.
